Solatube International Inc. has introduced its OptiView Shaping Diffusers, which use state-of-the-art micro replicated lens technology with pseudo-randomized lens orientations to precisely guide and control nature’s dynamic light source. Natural light is diffused and evenly spread without glare, aberrations or flash. This allows an architect and/or designer to modify the lens patterns to achieve differing light distribution spreads for different visual effects. The technology can be combined with the Solatube Integrated LED Light Kit, allowing for the integration of high-efficiency LED lighting from the single fixture. Available options include OptiView Wide, for ambient illumination and/or wall washing lighting; OptiView Superwide, for extraordinary wall washing and volumetric daylighting; and OptiView Narrow, for highlighting specific objects in a space and creating pools of high illuminance.
