Amerlux announced that it has selected Specification Lighting Sales (SLS) as its new rep for its interior product line in the Northern New Jersey market.
SLS is a New York City-based specification lighting agency renowned for connecting lighting manufacturers with the New York design community, Amerlux’s top market. Founded in 2007, SLS has grown into one of the region’s prominent lighting representatives by offering architects, designers, engineers and other specifiers step-by-step expertise and lighting solutions for diverse applications.
“Amerlux was one of the first lighting manufacturers SLS represented when SLS formulated their group, and that relationship has only strengthened in the years since,” states Chuck Campagna, CEO and president of Amerlux. “This joint venture is an extension of that partnership and will also give us continuity with our SLS, one of our strongest rep agencies responsible for developing specification on projects worldwide. Many of these projects are in New Jersey.”
Interior LED Products Galore for SLS to Promote
The extended relationship with SLS comes at a time when Amerlux has released a series of interior LED products that are turning heads—and sales.
For instance, Amerlux this summer launched a set of recessed linear downlights that allow designers and architects to make a statement in any ceiling application or design.
Cubebits offers a 1.5-inch aperture profile in 3-cell, 9-cell or 12-cell units that add visual interest to the space below with a single illumination beam. Cubebits is compatible with grid, flange and wood millwork ceilings. It comes in a black and white specular finished louver that allows for lighting output for any retail, hospitality or commercial environment.
It also comes standard with dimming capabilities with spot, flood and wide flood-beam distributions, a range of color temperatures (2700K to 4000K), and 90 CRI.
Other examples of recent innovations from Amerlux include:
- Aerus, a linear pendant solution that maximizes technological advances in electronics and optics to virtually eliminate glare and create work environments that enhance employee productivity and health. Mounting 12 inches below the ceiling (compared to standard mounting for indirect/direct pendants of 18 inches to 24 inches), Aerus eliminates hot spots while delivering the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES)-recommended foot-candle on desks. With a unified glare rating (UGR) between 12 and 16, Aerus also offers a step forward in meeting WELL Building certification standards for lighting by delivering comfort and even lighting distribution with a smaller number of fixtures.
- Quick-Line 2-inch, which offers spec-grade-quality LED pendant lighting right off the shelf, shipped to job sites in as little as five days. Streamlined and flexible, this addition to the Quick-Line family offers a 2-inch aperture for a wider distribution of light and performs with value and efficiency—courtesy of its link-it, latch-it, cap-it installation and patent block shields.
- Rook 350 Wall Mount solutions, which come in different shapes (cylinder and square) and allow the fixture to be mounted as a direct or indirect luminaire using a provided kit. The direct/indirect fixtures can be ordered with different beam spreads—narrow on bottom, flop on top or vice versa—and varying wattages with open and lensed units. With a 3.5-inch aperture, the Rook 350 adds visual interest to walls or columns in a number of applications.
- Slots and Dots, which is a configurable track light system that creates visual ambience for hospitality and retail environments. It offers compact styling, which ensures it looks good in any environment. The one-inch-wide track features magnetic attachments, so light sources can be snapped in and out as needed. With this track system, users can change the lighting in a room between events with ease.
