Several cold-liquid applied waterproofing systems have low temperature limitations varying from 35F to 40F for installation, which makes the application process more challenging in the upcoming colder months. And as you know, colder months make up for almost five months of the year in some regions.
Spectrum Waterproofing Boards and Systems, from Spectrum Boards Inc., is an ideal element to the building envelope. Spectrum Boards offers nine different board types. Spectrum Boards work with manufacturers of the liquid waterproofing resins under its private label of SpectruMix. A 20-year warranty is offered.
Spectrum Boards are plywood or cement boards (4- by 8-foot, 3- by 5-foot or 4- by 4-foot) factory pre-applied with primer and resin absorbed in fleece (SB10); ready for installations on roofs, walls, and balconies. The contractor is left with applying 4-inch connecting strips with resin to form a system. Once delivered to the site, the installation results in at least 50 percent of man-hours saved, quality control, 100 percent waterproof seamless system, and also allows for installation in lower temperatures. Spectrum Waterproofing Boards and Systems is a solution for roofing, especially for colder months, allowing for all year construction. For modular buildings, the installation of pre-applied boards can take place in the plant with the 4-inch connecting strips to be installed on site.
This is not a new product but an efficient installation delivery system since the boards are pre-applied with primer and resin with fleece. Nine different board types are offered using cold-applied liquid resins or modified membranes or combinations of both. Spectrum Boards works with manufacturers of liquid waterproofing resins under its private label of SpectruMix.
