ARCHVISTA has developed a way for architects, designers and home builders to brush up on more than software. Introducing LEARNVIRTUAL, an online learning platform. With a focus on ARCHICAD in-practice, LEARNVIRTUAL features online case study presentations by seasoned professionals sharing their insights, and offers virtual courses taught by experienced coaches. LEARNVIRTUAL also provides hundreds of OnDemand courses that teach the fundamentals of ARCHICAD.
“Over the years, we’ve seen people acquire the skills they need to successfully apply ARCHICAD in the workplace when they learn from peer experience. In this way, LEARNVIRTUAL is ideal for architects and designers who are getting a team on board with ARCHICAD or beginning to adjust their workflow,” said Thomas M. Simmons, creator of LEARNVIRTUAL. “Working in cooperation with GRAPHISOFT North America, our hybrid-learning approach marries real-world experience with how-to expertise to help professionals improve their practice as well as their skills.”
“GRAPHISOFT North America understands the value of supporting our users and helping to grow their knowledge base,” said Managing Director, Steve Benford. “The team at LEARNVIRTUAL has created resources for firms at all stages of implementing ARCHICAD. We are pleased to endorse their training platform, which aligns with our mission to provide support and guidance to architects, designers and home builders.”
Live online events, such as Adding Value to Services with BIM on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 12pm PDT, are the first opportunity for members to gain insight from other professionals. This webinar features Richard Crowe with Gilchrist Ross Crowe Architects of Tallahassee, Fla., sharing how his firm adds value to their design and service through the strategic use of BIM on projects.
To complete this subject matter, LEARNVIRTUAL coaches offer virtual training sessions. BIMx and Sharing Model Data is on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 12pm PDT followed by Ask a Coach – Open Forum on Thursday, Oct. 6, at 12pm PDT where participants receive advice on any ARCHICAD-related matter. Live sessions are recorded and posted for later viewing in case a member cannot attend the virtual course.
Nearly 200 OnDemand courses round out the ARCHICAD In-Practice program. Members can learn basic skills as well as advanced techniques for making the most of ARCHICAD. Topics range from ARCHICAD Basic Training to Setting Up Office Standards.
