Arkema Inc. has presented its line of Kynar Aquatec PVDF latex solutions for roof coating systems, along with Bostik Inc. adhesive and sealant products at the International Roofing Expo.
Kynar Aquatec PVDF emulsions provide the same durability and color-retention benefits as Kynar 500 resin-based coatings in a waterborne form. Given their weatherability and resistance to dirt pickup and biological growth, Kynar Aquatec resin-based coatings offer a solution for a variety of roofing applications, as well as metal restoration and repair projects.
At the show, Arkema Inc. introduced its Kynar Aquatec PVDF specification guide for cool roof coatings applications. The 14-page guide is divided into the Construction Specifier Institute’s three-part format and written in concise language to facilitate the evaluation of coating systems for meeting the life, durability and sustainability goals of cool-roof projects.
During the event, Bostik, an Arkema company, featured its full line of adhesives and sealants for a variety of roof construction applications. Bostik 915 and Bostik 915RT provide unprimed adhesion to Kynar Aquatec resin-based coatings, are Miami-Dade County product control approved, and are designed to comply with the high-velocity hurricane zone of the Florida building code.
