Bird Barrier has introduced Optical Gel dishes with a magnet set into the base for mounting.
Eliminating the need for glue when installing Optical Gel onto metal surfaces improves this product. Just remove the lid and place each dish in position. If you get it wrong just pick it up and place it correctly.
When mounting to metal ducts, I-beams or other metallic surfaces, Optical Gel Mag should be considered. When mounting to an angled surface, like sign letters, you no longer need to worry about it sliding downhill while the glue dries.
And think about heavy duty outdoor applications. Large metal surfaces like billboards, HVAC and long metal parapet ledges. These installations can be handled with Optical Gel Mag. No glue and no caulking guns needed.
Optical Gel Mag can also be removed for various reasons. Perhaps the product is not needed in the winter. Or the building is to be cleaned or painted. With Optical Gel Mag, just pop the lids back on and throw them into a box until they’re ready to be reinstalled.
Lastly, while silicone typically does not stain building surfaces, it can leave a bit of residue behind when Optical Gel dishes are removed. This is not an issue with Optical Gel Mag.
Optical Gel Mag is another step in the modernization of bird control.
