BTO Seeks Reviewers for Energy Efficiency Proposals

In support of the Obama Administration’s Better Buildings Initiative, the Building Technologies Office (BTO) has announced the availability of up to $12 million dollars to support new integrated solutions for delivering energy efficiency in small commercial buildings measuring 50,000 square feet or smaller. There are 4.6 million small buildings across the nation, comprising more than 90 percent of the commercial building stock. This represents an immense opportunity to advance energy efficiency.

BTO is looking for qualified individuals to help to choose impactful proposals. The responsibilities of a reviewer include reviewing up to 10 proposals of about 40 pages each on the timeline below. Compensation of $500 per review is available.

  • Proposals Sent to Reviewers: April 29, 2013, by 5 P.M. EDT
  • Proposal Reviews Due: May 8, 2013 by 5 P.M. EDT

To be considered for selection as a reviewer you must first register. By registering in the system, you are also consenting to be contacted by the Department of Energy for future opportunities to participate as a reviewer. Registering does not guarantee that you will be assigned proposals to review.
