Versatex Building Products LLC has introduced a 1- by 12- by 12-inch version of the VERSAWRAP column system. With actual outside dimensions of 11 1/4 by 11 1/4 inches and a 3/4-inch wall thickness, the new component comes in 12-foot lengths.
The 12- by 12-inch wrap provides one-piece, pre-cut cladding with a secure, full-length, friction-fit closure. It is made of the same matte-finished cellular PVC as all VERSATEX exterior trim products. The VERSAWRAP range already includes 4- by 4-, 6- by 6-, 8- by 8- and custom 10- by 10-inch sizes in 6-, 8- and 10-foot lengths.
With VERSAWRAP, a builder can avoid labor-intensive mitering, alignment and fastening in the field. Instead of assembling four separate boards, you just add glue, wrap the post, wait an hour and peel off the protective tape.
