Coming Soon: retrofitTV.com

If you’ve had the opportunity to flip through your May-June issue, you may have noticed us touting retrofitTV.com, our robust video player that will allow you to watch continuing education, project walkthroughs, product demonstrations and more. Our deadline to have the video player active on this website was May 15 and, unfortunately, it’s not quite ready. We’re as disappointed as you are. In retrospect, we probably were a little too excited about retrofitTV and prematurely marketed it to you.

Despite the setback, we have completed several videos that were scheduled for retrofitTV’s launch and we want you to see them. We have uploaded them on our YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/retrofitmag.

Currently on YouTube you’ll find:

Goodfellow Air Force Base’s Energy Reduction Program. This video provides an overview of our series of articles about the base’s retrofit roof system that integrates five disparate technologies.

Knowing the Code, which is presented by Wattstopper. Review major building energy codes and how opportunities, such as reducing lighting system loads, can help meet energy-performance requirements.

Meet the Emerge Alliance. Get an overview about the Emerge Alliance, which has been developing standards for DC power systems, a trend in commercial and industrial interiors.

Retrofitting Traditional Windows at the Empire State Building. Watch as a team of window professionals takes apart, cleans and assembles new window units from the Empire State Building’s existing glass. (The accompanying story appears in our May-June issue.)

Feature Tour Series: Joseph R. Biden Jr. Railroad Station, Wilmington, Del. Watch the May-June 2013 cover story come to life. William E. Holloway, AIA, LEED AP, principal with Bernardon Haber Holloway Architects LLC, and Ronald D. Edwards, district manager, Amtrak, give Editor Christina Koch a tour through the train station.

We have many more videos to come. We’ll be tweeting and posting on Facebook as new videos become available for viewing. And, of course, we’ll also let you know when retrofitTV is officially live. Thank you for your patience and your readership.
