The Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA) has welcomed LG Electronics USA to its Board of Directors. CABA is a nonprofit industry association that provides information, education and networking to help promote technologies for the automation of homes and buildings.
“I am pleased to welcome LG to CABA’s Board of Directors,” states Ronald J. Zimmer, CABA president & CEO. “This continues CABA’s tradition of representation on our board from the smart building, building technology and HVAC sectors.”
The company will be represented on CABA’s Board by Kevin C. McNamara, senior vice president and general manager, air conditioning technologies, LG Electronics USA. Building on his three decades of experience in the U.S. HVAC industry, McNamara has been overseeing LG’s commercial, light commercial and residential air conditioning business in the U.S. since 2011.
McNamara leads LG in the North American industry with a lineup of HVAC solutions, including variable refrigerant flow (VRF) technology and customizable control systems. Reflecting his role in growing the U.S. air conditioning business, he was named LG Electronics’ global B2B Person of the Year, and most recently, HVAC Insider’s 2018 Man of the Year.
“I am honored to represent LG on CABA’s board,” says McNamara. “LG is looking forward to increasing our involvement with CABA and building a mutually-rewarding relationship. We push the boundaries in the HVAC category with vision, technology and connectivity solutions, all of which complement CABA’s work in automated building technologies.”
