For the 6th straight year, Glass Magazine has named CRL-U.S. Aluminum (C.R. Laurence Co. Inc.) the top metal company. The report recognizes architectural metal fabricators in the U.S. and Canada based on sales volume. The list comprises businesses that manufacture and distribute curtain walls, storefronts, entrances, commercial windows, railings, and other architectural metal systems.
CRL-U.S. Aluminum attributes this recognition to increased supply chain capacities and improved customer service. The company continues to strengthen its distribution capabilities with coast-to-coast facility expansions. This allows it to provide localized customer service, comprehensive stock inventories, and shorter lead times in order to help customers meet schedules. CRL-U.S. Aluminum also developed online design and estimating software that allows glaziers to bid more jobs in less time by automating the quoting process.
CRL-U.S. Aluminum is boosting its operations and supply chain capabilities at its corporate headquarters in Los Angeles. The company is breaking ground on multiple facilities that will expand production and inventory capacities. A trained business development team has also been established to offer customers project support. This all comes on the heels of an expansion of its Union City facility in the Bay Area, which will allow the company to stock complete U.S. Aluminum product lines.
“The report this year is encouraging because it speaks to the growth of American manufacturing,” says Lloyd Talbert, president of CRL-U.S. Aluminum. “We’re proud of our position in the rankings. It reflects our ability to add value to our customers’ projects by providing the solutions they need to grow their businesses. Quality and speed are key factors, but our customization capabilities and customer service are our real differentiators.”
