CRL-U.S. Named Top Metal Company

Glass Magazine, the official magazine of the National Glass Association, recently named CRL-U.S. Aluminum the Top Metal Company for the 4th straight year. The accolade recognizes architectural metal fabricators in the U.S. and Canada based on sales volume. The list includes businesses that manufacture and sell curtainwalls, storefronts, entrance systems, railings and more.

With more than $500 million in annual sales, CRL-U.S. Aluminum has positioned itself at the top of the industry ranking and is recognized as a leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum systems. Although the company’s product portfolio spans architectural railings, commercial hardware and ornamental metals, CRL attributes its No. 1 position to its U.S. Aluminum brand’s growing market share.

The 2015 Top Metal Company accolade comes on the heels of several key expansion efforts for the company. This year marked the opening of its 350,000-square-foot U.S. Aluminum headquarters in Waxahachie, Texas, as well as increased footprints in the New York and Atlanta metropolitan markets. The company also significantly expanded its North American commercial door stocking program that provides glaziers immediate access to their region’s popular door and frame configurations. These infrastructure initiatives have enabled the brand to strengthen its distribution network, and provide greater stock inventory levels, local fabrication services and faster lead times.

“It’s an honor to receive Top Metal Company recognition, particularly because it speaks to the storefront and curtainwall sector’s confidence in the U.S. Aluminum brand,” says Lloyd Talbert, president of C.R. Laurence. “I attribute our success to our robust distribution network, nimble customization abilities, single-source model and proven track record of delivering innovative, installer-friendly products.”
