Daikin Applied Americas has won a 2016 Manufacturing Leadership Award from Frost & Sullivan’s Manufacturing Leadership Council for Daikin’s Intelligent Equipment platform.
With Intelligent Equipment, Daikin is harnessing the power of the Internet of Things to move the industry toward intelligent building systems. This technology transforms substantial volumes of data to insights that help building owners and facility managers optimize energy use, improve occupant comfort and maintain their HVAC equipment preventatively, not reactively.
“We are honored to be called out for our leadership for helping building owners leverage IoT in delivering comfort with the most cost-effective and sustainable use of energy,” says Paul Rauker, vice president and general manager, system and controls, Daikin Applied. “Our innovations are forging a new path for the HVAC industry, driving beyond next level efficiency and innovating for total building solutions. This recognition affirms that our teams are helping shape the future of the industry and helping building owners get to new levels of efficiency when they unlock the power of IoT.”
The Manufacturing Leadership Awards, now in its 12th year, honor manufacturing companies and individual manufacturing leaders that are shaping the future of global manufacturing. Winning projects and individual manufacturing leaders have demonstrated achievement in one of a wide range of categories, and are chosen by a panel of expert judges for results that enabled the manufacturers to set themselves apart from their competitors and that have delivered clear and compelling value, return on investment, and other tangible outcomes.
