Easier Maintenance for Air Conditioner and Heat Pump

Armstrong Air 4SCU13LB air conditioner and 4SHP13LB heat pump

Armstrong Air has launched the 4SCU13LB air conditioner and 4SHP13LB heat pump. Designed to replace previous Armstrong Air 4AC13L and 4HP13L models, the new units offer enhanced features that include horizontal louvers for better coil protection, easier to remove panels for faster service and maintenance, and a filter drier that ships loose allowing dealers to install it where it fits best in any application.

The 4SCU13LB air conditioner and 4SHP13LB heat pump offer a 13.00 SEER efficiency rating; the heat pump also offers an HSPF rating of 7.7. Both units use MHT Technology—Armstrong Air’s proprietary heat transfer system—to deliver maximum heat transfer and performance. While the air conditioner features a high-pressure switch, the heat pump includes high and low-pressure switches to help protect against adverse system pressures and Quiet Shift Technology that allows the units to quietly begin and end defrost mode.

Additional features of the 4SCU13LB air conditioner and 4SHP13LB heat pump include a single-stage scroll compressor and Microban protection on the matched indoor air coil. Both are backed by a 10-year limited warranty on the compressor and a 10-year limited warranty on all covered parts in residential applications.
