Yale Locks & Hardware has announced the launch of a line of interconnected electronic locksets for multi-family applications that provides property owners a wireless access management solution.
The interconnected locks combine an electronic deadbolt with an integrated lever to offer single motion egress for safety and security. They can be used as stand-alone PIN code access locksets or as connected devices. The interconnected locks are available on two platforms; the Yale Real Living Assure platform, which offers wireless operation using Z-Wave or ZigBee technology, or in a Data-on-Card configuration for use with Yale Accentra cloud-based software.
The Assure locks are available in Z-Wave or ZigBee configurations for integration into over 50 alarm and home automation platforms, and are available in three styles, push button or touchscreen keypads with cylinder override, or a key-free touchscreen that eliminates rekeying costs and the hassle of keeping track of keys. The option of Bluetooth control uses digital keys accessed through the Yale Assure app. The Data-on-Card version is a touchscreen keypad with key override and is compatible with Yale Accentra cloud-based lock management software that enables access management from any location or device. Cards and/or fobs are used for access, and one-time PIN codes can be issued in the event of a lockout, eliminating the need for after-hours service calls. Both product lines make it affordable for property owners to transition from conventional locks and keys to a scalable access management system that simplifies operations while enhancing security and convenience for residents.
Both the Assure and Data-on-Card electronic locksets are ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 certified, and can be installed in minutes using a screwdriver. From the inside, both the latchbolt and the deadbolt are retracted simultaneously in a single motion for exit ease.
For convenience the locks are available with spacing between the deadbolt and lockset of 4 or 5-1/2 inches center-to-center, and the backset is field adjustable to 2-3/8- or 2-3/4-inches. This makes the locks ideal for any project, whether new construction or retrofit. Handing is also field adjustable, and the locks are available with a fixed core and Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC) cylinders.
The Assure locks are available in three finishes, bright brass, satin nickel plated and oil rubbed bronze, and 12 lever designs, while the Data-on-Card version offers an additional finish, dark oxidized satin bronze.
