enVerid Systems CTO Is A National Academy of Inventors Fellow

enVerid Systems Inc. has announced that its Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Israel Morejon has been selected as a National Academy of Inventors (NAI) Fellow. Mr. Morejon was inducted as part of a 175-member Fellows class during the NAI’s annual conference at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum in Boston.

Election to NAI Fellow status is a professional distinction specifically accorded to academic inventors who have demonstrated innovation in creating or facilitating inventions that have made an impact on quality of life, economic development, and the welfare of society. With the election of the 2016 class, there are now 757 NAI Fellows, representing 229 research universities and governmental and non-profit research institutes.

As CTO at enVerid, Mr. Morejon leads the development efforts to revolutionize the company’s energy efficiency and air quality technology. Mr. Morejon has had a career in the military, medical, consumer, industrial and R&D fields. He began his career designing missile guidance and control systems. Then, he went on to found engineering companies where he designed digital video encoding and compression solutions, dimming controllers for lighting, hearing aids, kidney dialysis systems, acute care patient monitoring products, robots, and the core waveguide technology for speed guns. He pioneered last mile technology and optical tomography for cancer systems. Later, he developed an LED Rear Projection TV, LED edge emitting LCD Back Light and Nanoprojectors. Mr. Morejon has 27 patents granted in many discipline areas including nanotechnology. He serves on the University of South Florida Research Foundation Board, where he received a bachelor of science in electrical engineering.

Academic inventors and innovators elected to the rank of NAI Fellow status have been nominated by their peers for contributions to innovation in areas such as patents and licensing, discovery and technology, impact on society, and support and enhancement of innovation.
