Ply Gem Windows has expanded design capabilities with the introduction of 38 new exterior color options for the aluminum-clad Mira Premium Series window and patio door line.
Available in two color palettes featuring hues such as black cherry, sunset and sapphire ice, the 38 new colors include the Signature palette, with 27 matte finish colors, and the Radiance palette, with 11 new metallic colors. In selecting the new colors and determining the best options for customers, Ply Gem Windows surveyed findings from the 2013 color forecast by industry color marketing experts.
Beyond the two new palettes, Ply Gem Windows also introduced a custom color program with capabilities of matching nearly any existing color. The custom color matching process is designed for customers who are looking to match existing home exteriors or other existing windows, particularly in remodeling projects that do not require the replacement of all windows.
Designed to meet architectural specifications, the new colors for the Ply Gem Windows Mira Premium Series will be applied using high performance powder-coating for a quality finish to the frame, sash, and simulated divided lite bars. The powder-coated finishes meet American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) 2604 performance standards and are backed by a 20-year warranty against fading and chalking.
The eight original standard Ply Gem Windows Mira Premium Series colors will continue to be offered on a five-day manufacturing lead-time, while the new expanded offering and custom program will have extended lead-times and will require an additional fee.
