More than 225 Ferguson locations participated in the company’s nationwide “60 Days of Caring” campaign, providing approximately 20,000 pounds of food to 101 different non-profit organizations throughout the U.S., including animal shelters, food banks and youth development programs. Ferguson is a wholesale distributor of residential and commercial plumbing supplies and pipe, valves and fittings. The company is also a major distributor of HVAC/R equipment, waterworks and industrial products and services.
“Being a good community partner and giving back to the communities where we live and work is an important part of what we do at Ferguson—it’s ingrained in our fabric,” explains Frank Roach, CEO of Ferguson. “I am personally proud and grateful for each and every one of our associates and the contribution they make to our company and communities.”
The 60-day drive was held in conjunction with Ferguson’s 60th anniversary celebration and aligned with its mission to strengthen the communities where we live and do business. Ferguson associates embraced the challenge and welcomed the opportunity to give back.
Contribution highlights:
- The associates at Ferguson’s Distribution Center in Richland, Wash., presented the Tri-Cities Food Bank with 6,000 pounds of food—more food than any other single location.
- Ferguson Parts & Packing in City of Industry, Calif., collected more than 2,000 pounds of supplies for Families Forward, an organization that assists families in financial crisis by providing much-needed supplies.
- The company’s headquarters in Newport News, Va., along with its nine retail locations throughout Hampton Roads and northeast North Carolina, collected more than 2,000 pounds of food for food banks and animal shelters.
“Our associates are very philanthropic and provided much-needed support to nonprofits across the United States, as many struggle with a depleted food supply during the summer months,” comments Melissa Hazelwood, Ferguson’s CSR PR coordinator. “We are proud that we are able to give back in such a big way.”
