Hanwha Surfaces opens a warehouse and sales facility in Springfield, MA to accommodate their move to direct distribution throughout New England and New York state. This comes on the heels of the expansion of their direct distribution to include Michigan, Ohio, New York and New England in February, 2016 and the opening of their Philadelphia Warehouse and Showroom in October, 2015. The transition has helped the company reach consumers in these territories with their HanStone Quartz line.
The new warehouse spans over 30,455 square feet and is located in a 1950’s era airplane hanger adjacent to the Westover Airforce Base. In addition to the warehouse, the facility includes a sales office, as well as a showroom featuring full slab displays to simplify the process of product selection. The location of the facility will enable the company to deploy HanStone delivery trucks directly to fabricators and other clients throughout the territory.
This expansion signals a period of growth for Hanwha Surfaces, which is moving its entire production to North America in the coming year. “This new warehouse is another example of how we’re able to offer our New England and New York customer base faster,” says Hanwha Surfaces President JK Lee. “This year we’ve also launched new collections for both our Hanex Solid Surfaces and HanStone Quartz brands.”
