Johnson Controls-Hitachi has launched its Yutaki M R32 monobloc air-to-water heat pump. This all-in-one solution can deliver heating, cooling and even serve as a domestic water heater with an external tank. The 3-ton and 4-ton systems are engineered to deliver a consistent, 140 F heating capacity even within sub-zero ambient temperatures and can generate up to four times more thermal energy than electrical energy used.Â
These exceptional capabilities are achieved through a newly designed, vapor injection twin-rotary compressor. This innovative design enables the economizer to control the discharge of temperature prior to it being injected into the compression chamber. The process enhances performance within cold climates, enabling the Yutaki M R32 heat pump to supply 131 F water even within -4 F ambient temperatures.Â
Utilizing a monobloc design, the self-contained Yutaki M R32 system features low-GWP (global warming potential) R32 refrigerant cycles that are integrated within the outdoor unit and then connected to the heat distribution system via hydraulic connections. Coupled with a compact footprint, the all-in-one heat pumps are ideal for a wide range of applications including residential and retrofit projects.
Key Features:
- New enhanced vapor injection rotary compressor maintains heating capacity up to -13 F temperatures
- High efficiency delivers 4.66 COP and 4.8 EER
- Simplified installation with no refrigerant handling required and easy access to components
The performance and energy efficiency of the Yutaki M R32 is further enhanced when connected to the latest LCD controller. The advanced color controller can manage fan coil control, energy consumption and programmable settings to meet individual building demands. The Yutaki M R 32 is also compatible with the Hitachi range of thermostats, including the Cascade controller that provides a centralized point of operation for up to eight Yutaki systems.
