The International Code Council is seeking experts in the building, fire, plumbing, mechanical, sustainability energy and high-performance building fields to volunteer in the International Code Council’s Code Action Committees and its Codes and Standards Council to participate in the code development process for the 2024/2026 cycle.
This call is for the following committees:
- Technical Code Action Committees
- Building Code Action Committee (BCAC)
- Fire Code Action Committee (FCAC)
- Plumbing, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Code Action Committee (PMGCAC)
- Sustainability, Energy & High-Performance Building Code Action Committee (SEHPCAC)
- Compliance Code Action Committee (CCAC)
- Codes and Standards Council (CSC)
This call for committees is an opportunity for experts in the built environment to have a voice in the development of the most widely used and adopted set of building codes in the world. This is more important than ever as well since the 2024/2026 I-Code cycle will bring significant changes to the code process. The Code Council’s process encourages participation by many different groups. Anyone can apply to be on a committee, and ICC encourages all interested parties to participate in the process.
The application deadline is Oct. 24. You can learn more about and apply for these and other committees here.
If you have any questions, please contact the Code Council’s Senior Vice President of Technical Services Mike Pfeiffer at [email protected] or Deputy Senior Vice President of Technical Services Russ Manning at [email protected]
