EarthTronics has introduced its TB-2100, a UL 924 classified LED emergency driver for Type B T8 LEDs. It provides a retrofit solution for existing fluorescent troffer and strip fixtures operating as part of an emergency egress lighting system.
TB-2100 delivers an emergency power supply for EarthTronics Gen II Type B ballast by-pass lamps. The unit serves as an alternative to skipping over emergency back-up fixtures. Type B T8 lamps are commonly used for retrofitting fluorescent systems when the ballast is removed from the circuit for increased energy efficiency.
The TB-2100 powers two lamps and installs in place of the existing ballast. The unit provides constant power from its 90-minute rated battery life and recharges within 24 hours of a full emergency discharge. It also comes with an illuminated test switch.
When properly applied with EarthTronics Gen II Type B lamps, the TB-2100 has a 5-watt output, producing 500 lumens and is capable of meeting NFPA Light Safety Code 101 requirements. The solid-state circuitry uses 5 watts during the recharge cycle and consumes 1.6 watts in normal operation. Its nickel-cadmium battery has a 7- to 10-year performance service life.
The TB-2100 operates on either switched or unswitched 120/277VAC power. EarthTronics backs this product with a five-year product warranty. For more information about the TB-2100 and other EarthTronics products, visit the website.
