Metl-Span Releases HPCI Barrier Insulated Metal Panel Design Guide

Metl-Span has made available a comprehensive design guide for its recently-introduced HPCI Barrier insulated metal panel. The HPCI (High Performance Continuous Insulation) Barrier offers all of the functions of air, water, thermal and vapor barriers plus thermal insulation and rigid sheathing in a single element. It can be used behind virtually any type of façade.

The new design guide explains rainscreen wall basics and design, defines components of rainscreen wall construction and presents critical design considerations. The guide provides a detailed understanding of the HPCI Barrier and illustrates typical project applications. Also included are extensive architectural details highlighting the HPCI Barrier panel assembled with terra cotta, brick veneer and metal panel cladding.
