Neolith Gains North American Market Share

When entering the North American market three years ago, TheSize, manufacturer and designer of sintered compact surface material for indoor and outdoor architecture, aimed to change the surfacing market through its Neolith brand. Neolith has pioneered luxury residential and commercial design of kitchen and bathroom countertops, flooring, interior wall cladding, exterior facades and more, developing a strong position in the North American surfacing market with year-over-year sales doubling steadily since 2011.

As the first sintered compact surface to appear on the market, Neolith has been able to capture much of the market share in the sector, citing a U.S. sales increase of over 80% between 2012 and 2013. Sales for both the U.S. and Canada are expected to double in 2014, placing Neolith in a solid position going into 2015.

A term meaning “new stone,” Neolith combines the best natural raw materials with state-of-the-art technology to create a high-tech slab. Neolith’s success can be attributed to both superior quality and unique characteristics. Whereas many thin, compact surfaces are easily broken and damaged during fabrication, Neolith is the first brand to offer a 12mm thickness, which holds less residual strength, making it far less likely to crack or splinter while being cut. This resilience means that professionals do not need to look for thicker materials to meet their design needs—the 12mm thickness can be easily fabricated to any desired thickness.

“We’re incredibly happy with the reception our product has been given in North America among architects, interior designers, distributors, fabricators and homeowners,” said Daniel Sanchez, Sales Manager, TheSize. “As a company, research, development and customer satisfaction is of utmost importance. We are always looking for new ways to make the Neolith experience an excellent one, for our distributors, fabricators and their clients, and look forward to what the future holds in interior and exterior architectural design.”

Made from clays, feldspar, silica and mineral oxides, Neolith is a pioneer of sinterization, the high-pressure, high-temperature kilning process that forms the product. This process results in one of the most resilient surfaces on the market, unfazed by sharp objects, extreme heat or cold, moisture, and harsh chemicals. Available in 35 colors across six pattern collections and several thicknesses, Neolith has a surfacing solution for every application. The various style collections are a result of Neolith’s innovative Digital Design (NDD) decoration technique. This system has revolutionized Neolith patterns and is pushing the boundaries of what colors and textures are possible from sintered compact surfaces.

With a growing network of distributors across the U.S. and Canada, the product is readily available across North America, cutting down on costly project delays caused by production stops.
