Enlighted Inc. launches its Plug Load Controller, designed to significantly reduce unnecessary outlet energy use through intelligent control.
General office and miscellaneous equipment like computers, monitors, printers, projectors and TVs consume unnecessary energy when not in use. A recent physical survey of 11 office buildings in San Francisco and Washington, D.C. identified that only 44 percent of computers, 32 percent of monitors and 25 percent of printers were turned off after working hours. Utilizing a plug load controller reduces this wasted energy use.
The Plug Load Controller works with sensors in the Enlighted System to transform outlets into smart receptacles controlled through occupancy or schedule-based on/off control.
The Plug Load Controller is easily configurable with the Enlighted Energy Manager to provide advanced data on outlet energy consumption, carbon reduction, energy and financial savings, and helps achieve Title 24 compliance in California. The latest Energy Manager 3.4 software update provides added support for Enlighted’s new Plug Load Controller, allowing for managing controlled power outlets.
