Leviton introduces a line of Medical-Grade Power Strips for use in patient-care areas of health-care facilities.
Leviton’s new line of medical grade power strips are tested to U.S., Canadian and Mexican safety standards, satisfying the electrical safety requirements specified in NFPA 99: Health Care Facilities Code and NEC Article 517: Healthcare Facilities. This enables health-care facility managers to ensure full compliance with these safety regulations.
Additional safety features include locking safety covers to prevent accidental contact with unused outlets, indicator lights to provide visual confirmation of power and surge protection, and a switchless design to prevent accidental disruption of power.
Leviton’s medical-grade power strips are available in a number of configurations to fit nearly any application, including two, four or six hospital-grade outlets; 7- or 15-inch supply cord lengths with hospital-grade attachment plugs; and with or without surge protection.
