Pre-crush Fluorescent Lamps

The Bulb Eater Lamp Crusher from Air Cycle Corp. crushes fluorescent lamps of any length into 100 percent recyclable material while capturing nearly all of the vapors released. Mounted on a 55-gallon container, the system can hold up to 1,350 4-foot T8 lamps. It is equipped with a side-mounted dust filter unit with a HEPA filter that works in conjunction with an activated carbon filter in the steel canister. The filter captures and neutralizes the mercury vapor released from the lamps during crushing. Pre-crushing the lamps also results in lower recycling costs for facilities.
