In an ever-changing landscape in the concrete flooring industry, PROSOCO prides itself in staying ahead of the curve with its Consolideck line of products. As such, two Consolideck products have recently been verified to comply with the Living Building Challenge v2.1 Red List, and two Consolideck products have received official registrations that signify adherence with some of the highest standards in the industry.
Consolideck ColorHard and GemTone stains have been verified to be free of ingredients on the Living Building Challenge Red List. This list identifies more than 300 substances often found in common building materials that are proven to be harmful to people and the environment. “We’ve collaborated with our supply chain partners to verify that raw materials in ColorHard stains do not contain Red List materials,” said Dwayne Fuhlhage, Sustainability and Environment Director for PROSOCO. “Initiatives like the Living Building Challenge have set the bar for materials management throughout the supply and value chain.”
Additionally Concrete Protector and PolishGuard are now registered in the NSF International NonFood Compounds Registration Program. NSF is the only independent, third-party organization that offers product registration for nonfood compounds used in food and beverage processing facilities. These product formulations have undergone toxicology and use review to meet the NSF International Registration Guidelines for Proprietary Substances and Nonfood Compounds, and are listed in the NSF White Book.
