Hubbell Lighting has announced that KIM Lighting commercially introduced the Ouro site/area family of luminaires. With its styling, performance and controls capability, the Ouro will fill a gap in the market for performance round luminaires.
Aesthetics
The Ouro was designed to blend in with the environment in which it would operate, complementing the essence of the space and inspiring ambitions while meeting performance metrics that keep pedestrians safe and secure. The contemporary style family of luminaires can scale from pedestrian walkways up to 40 feet making it an ideal choice for a project that requires a range of offerings in a cohesive design family.
Ease of installation and maintenance has been a Kim hallmark. Ouro has a tool-free entry; a latch is provided to open the fixture and there is a kickstand to hold the clamshell open for installation and maintenance. A speed mount is also included for wall and pole mount applications. Install the speed mount, run the wiring, slide the luminaire into place, connect the field wires to the terminal block and it is ready to be energized.
Performance
The Ouro is a contemporary round site/area luminaire to offer up to 37,000 delivered lumens at 137 Lumens per Watt. To achieve this, KIM has blended all of its award winning optical technology to ensure visual continuity, precise illumination, scalable lumen options, and true IES distributions.
There are three lens options: no lens for maximum performance, an IP 66 rated clear lens and a high diffusion lens option for low glare, high visual comfort pedestrian applications. Amber, 3000, 4000 and 5000K color temperatures are standard.
KIM BUG ratings are standard, and the entire family is Dark Sky compliant.
Control
Integral wired and wireless controls ensure there is no compromise to the form factor.
Ouro controls offerings range from dawn-to-dusk photocell to advanced wireless solutions. The distributed lighting controls provide a complete suite of California Title 24/ASHRAE compliant energy saving solutions.
Hubbell Control Solutions SiteSync is an option for the Ouro, offering ease of design, installation simplicity, and reliability. With its pre-programmed approach, installation of SiteSync reduces the time and cost compared to typical field commissioned systems.
