ROXUL Announces Strategic Roofing Partnerships

ROXUL Inc., a North American manufacturer of stone wool insulation products, has announced its strategic partnerships with Sika Sarnafil, a global manufacturer of thermoplastic (PVC) roofing membrane, and Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM), a manufacturer of commercial roofing materials. The partnerships will introduce new and innovative roofing systems to the North American market.

Sika Sarnafil roof systems that incorporate ROXUL stone wool insulation, provide superior thermal performance, fire resistance and sound absorption. As a component of an approved Sika Sarnafil roofing system, ROXUL insulation is included in Sika Sarnafil warranty programs. In addition, ROXUL will offer a limited guarantee of 100 percent of the published R-value(s) of the insulation to match the waterproofing warranty up to 30 years.

Similarly, the Carlisle roofing warranty programs, featuring EPDM and TPO membranes, will now include ROXUL stone wool roof insulation. Products that will be included in the warranty program include TOPROCK DD roofing insulation with integrated insulating coverboard and MONOBOARD insulating coverboard, as well as bitumen-coated variations of both of these board products for Carlisle’s Hot-Mopped systems with FleeceBACK AFX membranes.

“Energy efficiency and fire safety are huge issues today and will only become more important in the future. Stone wool roof insulation, used in a hybrid assembly, adds to the performance of polyisocyanurate and EPS (expanded polystyrene), which are two well-known insulation materials,” says Brian Le Voguer, vice president, Building Envelope for ROXUL in North America. “The partnership of ROXUL and Sika and ROXUL and Carlisle brings to the design community the confidence of working with global leaders.”
