Katharine Morgan, president of ASTM International, will speak at Pittcon 2019 on the role of ASTM standards in supporting a healthy and sustainable environment.
Pittcon is an annual conference and expo on laboratory science. The five-day event attracts attendees from over 90 countries around the world, including industry, academia, government, and more.
“ASTM International technical committees have hundreds of standards that promote the environment,” says Morgan. “The results are clear: cleaner air and water; eco-friendly homes and offices buildings, enhanced recycling programs, and more.” Morgan outlined several technical committees that support sustainability efforts during her presentation.
In addition to Morgan, Pat Picariello, ASTM International director of technical committee operations, will also give a performance on the role of additive manufacturing standards as innovation enablers at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday (Nexus Theater I). Members of the ASTM training and e-learning department and multimedia production services will also be leading an interactive discussion on emerging trends in training and development at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday (Nexus Theater II).
ASTM will also have a booth at the expo.
