Ideal for retail and office buildings, the glass within the YES 45 TU system can now be set to the front to maximize energy performance and blend with the aesthetics of the curtainwall. Architects and designers can glaze the system from the interior or exterior as required, making it a flexible option.
YES 45 TU has hinged mullions coupled with 90- or 135-degrees inside and outside corners, allowing creative freedom when curves and angles are part of the design. The system is thermally broken by means of a poured and debridged pocket that employs a patented process, ThermaBond Plus. Combining science and technology, ThermaBond Plus provides a composite shape of materials for reduced heat flow through the framing.
YES 45 TU has also been tested to meet the requirements of the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) with standard Low-e insulating glass. By integrating high performance glass, greater thermal performance can be achieved, exceeding the base codes.
