Trex, a manufacturer of wood-alternative decking and high-performance, low-maintenance, eco-friendly outdoor living products, has launched a hiring campaign to eventually fill 500 new jobs in central Arkansas. In October, Trex announced an estimated $400-million investment to develop its third multifaceted production site at the Port of Little Rock to meet growing demand. Initial open positions are at the management level and will broaden as development of the new facility progresses.
Active hiring is ongoing for the first set of these positions, each of which offers a unique opportunity to join a successful, established organization at an expansion stage. Similar to positions at startups, new team members will have the uncommon opportunity to shape their roles and build success, nearly from scratch.
Current openings at the Trex Little Rock facility include:
- Site Manager
- HR Manager
- Process Engineering Manager
- Project Engineering Manager
“Trex is passionate about work, family, community and the environment. We look forward to building this new team in Arkansas with exceptional people who share those values,” says Trex Vice President of Human Resources Jay Rudolph. “This is an exciting possibility to join our team at the ground level and explore additional development opportunities to advance your career as we continue to grow this facility and build a better tomorrow together.”
Each year, Trex utilizes more than 900 million pounds of recycled polyethylene plastic film and reclaimed wood waste to create high-quality, low-maintenance composite products for the commercial and residential building markets. The company’s local expansion represents a considerable investment that promises growth and increased value for the Central Arkansas community. The facility will begin construction this year with product production expected to begin in 2024.
Trex thinks of its employees like family and believes hard work should be rewarded. The company offers competitive pay, benefits and training. Benefit packages include:
- Bonuses
- Health, dental and vision insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- Tuition reimbursement
- Employee discount program
- Stock purchase program
The company encourages anyone who shares its passion and values to visit careers.trex.com for more on open positions.
