Unilock Announces Scholarship for Landscape Construction and Landscape Architecture Students

Unilock, a provider of concrete interlocking paving stones, slabs and retaining walls, announces its Paving the Future Scholarship. Awarding $5,000 to deserving students within the landscape construction and landscape architecture fields of study, the scholarship will help pay for their education expenses, including tuition fees, books, housing and transportation costs. Up to 27 scholarships will be awarded, with an Aug. 31, 2022, application deadline for eligible students.

Helping to commemorate the Company’s 50th anniversary since being founded by Ed Bryant, the Unilock Paving the Future Scholarship demonstrates the commitment Unilock has to investing in the new generation of landscape design, architecture and construction leaders. To be eligible, students must be in their final year of study, actively involved in their community and demonstrate an ambition of being a thought leader in the landscaping industry of tomorrow.

“In 1972, Ed brought the Uni-Stone paving stone to North America, charting a course of passion, collaboration and innovation that not only built Unilock, but also ultimately pioneered the hardscape industry,” says Diane Williams, vice president of Marketing, Unilock. “For 50 years, we have been paving the way forward, growing our business through a focus on quality, a legacy of innovation and a commitment to investment. In carrying on Ed’s vision of investing in our communities, through contributions like the Unilock Paving the Future Scholarship, we are helping build and shape the hardscape industry with the professionals of today – and tomorrow.”

Applications, including an essay describing why the applicant is passionate about a career in landscape construction or landscape architecture and how they intend to actively contribute to the overall industry, will be accepted from May 1 through August 31, 2022. Applicants can access the application online for landscape construction or landscape architecture. Scholarship recipients will be notified on or around Oct. 10, 2022.
