Viega LLC hires Stephanie J. Kiffer as the technical manager for shipbuilding and offshore division in the greater mid-Atlantic region.
In this position, Kiffer is responsible for business development in the region, including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Kiffer is also responsible for specifying Viega products for ship repair and new construction in all marine market segments, introducing new products into the market and providing product training and technical support to shipyards and ship force.
Kiffer has more than 11 years of experience in the welding and shipbuilding industries. Prior to joining Viega, she worked as a corporate account manager at Miller Electric. Kiffer is a member of several industry-related organizations, including the American Welding Society, American Society of Naval Engineers, Propeller Club and Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.
“We believe Stephanie will become an advisor to her customer base while building the Viega brand throughout the territory,” says Paul Switzer, manager, shipbuilding and offshore, at Viega. “Her vast industry knowledge and experience will help with focusing on securing repair and refit business with military and commercial customers.”
Kiffer currently lives in Elberon, Va., with her husband. She earned a bachelor’s degree in welding engineering and fabrication technology from the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, Pa. In her spare time, she enjoys the beach, riding motorcycles and caring for the animals on her farm.
