VT Industries Inc. announced it has acquired Eggers Industries, a wood door and millwork manufacturer based in Wisconsin. The acquisition combines the two architectural wood door businesses to offer increased appeal and value to the customers of both companies.
“I’m very excited about the combined strength of our companies, and how our enhanced resources position us to drive product innovation, market expansion, and profitable growth,” states Doug Clausen, president and CEO of VT Industries.
Founded in 1884 in Two Rivers, Wis., Eggers Industries began manufacturing farm baskets. Soon, the company expanded and became a manufacturer of veneer seating. Today, the Eggers brand is known and respected for its product portfolio of architectural wood door products, wood paneling, custom conference tabletops, and veneer-wrapped components.
The Eggers acquisition is a natural fit for VT Industries and customers alike as both companies share a commitment to quality and forward-thinking, as well as their people-focused cultures and core values. “Eggers’ high-quality products, strong reputation in the market, and manufacturing capabilities fit well with our strategy to expand our product portfolio and deliver a great customer experience,” explains Jason Farver, chief operating officer of VT Industries.
Former Eggers Industries owner Jay Streu adds, “We’re really thrilled to be joining forces with VT Industries. We have combined the two highest-quality and most innovative Architectural Wood Door businesses together as one powerful team and believe the acquisition is a positive move for our customers and the door industry as a whole.”
Since 2007, VT Industries has completed three acquisitions with the distinct goals of securing growth as a company, assuring future growth of distribution partners within the door industry, and extending more value to customers throughout North America.
