Accoya has been used successfully in building projects around the world, where ordinary wood would not have held up. In the U.S., it is currently being used in the renovation of the German Embassy in Washington. It has also been selected for replacement of window frames on a church in Mobile, Ala., where regular wood would not last in the region’s hot and humid weather. In Newport Beach, Calif., Accoya is being used in a green home project aiming for LEED Platinum certification.
