Wood Sliding Doors are Fire-rated

To provide design professionals with flexibility in achieving their vision, AD Systems has pioneered fire-rated wood sliding doors. FireSlide surface-mounted, top-hung single-leaf doors offer the aesthetic of sliding flush wood doors, while achieving a 45-minute UL 10B fire rating. The doors include self-closing mechanisms and self-latching hardware.

Compared to swing doors, the sliding doors also save space by eliminating the swing path of the door and by reducing the approach clearance space needed to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. These space savings benefits occur both inside the room and in the corridor.

The fire-rated doors also come with acoustic seals on three sides to help enhance privacy and reduce indoor noise.
