Steven Bruns, PE, who is a former member of the ICRI board of directors, will serve the repair industry while helping fulfill ICRI\u2019s mission and strategic plan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSteve\u2019s background and experience are suited to meet this challenge and further ICRI\u2019s foothold as a resource for concrete repair education, training and certification,\u201d says Ken Lozen, ICRI technical director. \u201cICRI is fortunate to bring Steve on as a full-time staff member as he brings relevant industry experience and connections to the Institute.  We are confident the ICRI certification program will grow even more with Steve helping to market the program and train the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>ICRI is bringing Bruns on board in a full-time role in order to address the growth of ICRI and implement its plan for providing certification and educational programs. He will work to increase the awareness and participation of ICRI certification programs while reporting directly to Lozen.<\/p>\n<p>Key responsibilities of the position are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage, implement and promote existing and future certification programs<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the ICRI technical director and ICRI professional development manager for development and implementation of certification programs<\/li>\n<li>Utilize partners and chapters to market and promote ICRI certification programs to their members and audiences<\/li>\n<li>Establish and promote the use of ICRI certifications in industry\/project specifications and codes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cAdding a staff member to ICRI continues the growth of new programs and benefits for members and the industry,\u201d says Mike Levin, executive director of ICRI. \u201cThis position will enable the ICRI technical director to focus on other technical aspects of ICRI and provide more products and services.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>ICRI currently has two certification programs and expects to offer more programs in the future as Bruns promotes and administers these programs.
