This year, the <a aria-label=\"American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.asla.org\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA)<\/a> is celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month by highlighting the myriad contributions of Hispanic and Latinx Americans to the field of landscape architecture and communities around the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>ASLA held a diversity summit webinar titled &#8220;Latin American Landscapes&#8221;<\/li><li>ASLA released the <a aria-label=\"2019 Diversity Summit Report (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.asla.org\/NewsReleaseDetails.aspx?id=56237\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8220;2019 Diversity Summit Report&#8221;<\/a>, an examination of diversity in the profession.<\/li><li>ASLA has compiled a collection of resources about the work of Hispanic and Latinx members on the <a aria-label=\"ASLA Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month webpage (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.asla.org\/ContentDetail.aspx?id=56255\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ASLA Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month webpage<\/a>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ASLA is committed to increasing diversity and inclusion among our membership, staff, and in the profession as a whole. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the 2019 Diversity Summit, ASLA President Shawn T. Kelly, FASLA, encouraged participants to \u201cTake this profession and make it yours. Own it. I celebrate the fact that we are landscape architects.
