Located just 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles, the Pasadena Convention Center<\/a> is a premier meeting and events venue nestled in the heart of Pasadena, Calif. Built in 1932, the 130,000-square-foot facility is home to events and conferences of all sizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pasadena Convention Center representatives were interested in an all-in-one handwashing solution which led them to specify the AER-DEC integrated sink systems (AD-82000) throughout the building.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The original structure, the Pasadena Civic Auditorium was erected in 1932; then in the 1970s, the Pasadena Center was built around the historic auditorium to include a Conference Center building with meeting rooms, an exhibit hall and ballroom building with much larger spaces to accommodate trade shows and large banquets. The current facility is home to events and conferences of all sizes.

At the end of 2019, the nearly 50-year-old Conference Center building was in need of some upgrades\u2014and that included the restroom. With a high volume of restroom traffic, the convention center wanted its new restrooms to leave a lasting positive impression on its guests and ease the burden on the facility\u2019s maintenance team.

The solution was a full suite of Sloan<\/a> touch-free products\u2014including sinks, faucets, soap dispensers, hand dryers, and sensor flushometers for water closets and urinals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do-it-all Sinks<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Pasadena Convention Center representatives were interested in an all-in-one handwashing solution which led them to specify the AER-DEC integrated sink systems (AD-82000) throughout the building. With a faucet, soap dispenser, and hand dryer all designed to work together as one touch-free system within arm\u2019s reach, the AER-DEC mitigates water spilling that would otherwise come with walking to the hand dryer with wet hands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only is this helping the convention center\u2019s maintenance team, but it\u2019s also making the restroom a safer environment with reduced risk of slips and falls. While the polished chrome faucets, soap dispensers, and hand dryers deliver a sleek aesthetic in their own right, Pasadena Convention Center wanted to make their sink basins stand apart. That\u2019s why they added a blue LED light in the sinks to provide users with an unforgettable handwashing experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keeping the Restroom Clean<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The convention center team specified SOLIS sensor flushometers (SOLIS 8111-1.28 and SOLIS 8186-0.125) on both its water closets and urinals. <\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

When it came to the flushometers on its water closets and urinals, Pasadena Convention Center representatives wanted efficient and easy-to-repair products that would conserve water while continuing to support its maintenance team. Sloan fixtures delivered just that. The convention center team specified SOLIS sensor flushometers (SOLIS 8111-1.28 and SOLIS 8186-0.125) on both its water closets and urinals. Solar-powered and battery-operated, the flushometers each feature a user-friendly three-second flush delay. The flushometers were paired with wall-mounted water closets (ST-2459-STG) and six designer washdown urinals (SU-7409-STG). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To keep the fixtures sparkling clean and easier for the maintenance team to service, Pasadena Convention Center also specified SloanTec glaze. SloanTec\u2019s unique and proprietary glaze imparts permanent hydrophobic (water-repellent) and oleophobic (oil-repellent) properties to vitreous china to inhibit the growth of germs and bacteria and make the fixtures easier to clean.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
