KONE Inc. has launched a destination operating panel (DOP) for its KONE Polaris Destination Control System. The new DOP replaces traditional up and down buttons with an advanced touchscreen, providing improved building security and greater convenience for users.
The Touchscreen DOP’s large intuitive interface features a clear, high-contrast display and four options for destination entry: a one-touch slider, an adaptive keypad, direct call and a rotating list.
The versatile Touchscreen DOP not only blends seamlessly with a wide variety of architectural interiors, but its flexible integration allows it to be used with either KONE or third-party access control solutions. Additionally, the technology features directional arrows indicating elevator location to improve passenger guidance as well as audio support and a dedicated accessibility button with Braille markings to serve passengers with special needs.
Like many KONE products, the Touchscreen DOP is also energy-efficient, and features short- and long-range proximity sensors with timers to save energy while prolonging the lifetime of the device.
