Underscoring its ongoing commitment to industry partnership and design excellence, Tarkett, a manufacturer of innovative flooring and sports surfaces solutions, announced that Jeff Fenwick, president and CEO of Tarkett North America, has been elected to the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Board of Directors. Fenwick will serve a three-year term through 2017, providing insight and expertise for the global professional organization.
As a board member, Fenwick will focus on broadening relationships within the design community for IIDA by listening to members of the design community and gaining a better understanding how to drive engagement between designers and other manufacturers. One critical part of the IIDA’s mission is to provide support for these professionals in order to help them achieve individual design goals.
“At Tarkett, we believe in the importance of good design, both functionally and aesthetically, and what it can do for people in different kinds of buildings,” says Fenwick. “We want to work with IIDA as it continues to grow globally and support the tenets of good design internationally through an exchange of thoughts, good practices and functional ideas. IIDA is a dynamic organization that will continue to build and grow, both in its membership base and the services it provides its members. I am honored to serve in this capacity and am eager to lend my thoughts and ideas to support their goals.”
IIDA is the preeminent commercial interior design professional networking and educational association, with more than 13,000 members practicing worldwide in more than 50 countries. IIDA promotes the value of interior design to business decision makers and to the general public through its members who create the exceptional environments that encompass every aspect of the human experience.
