Innovative Dehumidifier partners with AEC Daily, a CEU destination for architects, engineers and construction professionals. Innovative Dehumidifier’s course “Humidity Happens, Mold Doesn’t Have To,” has been approved for the following certification programs: AIA (American Institute of Architects) for HSW (Health Safety and Welfare), ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers), NAHB (National Association of Home Builders), USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council), and others.
Innovative Dehumidifier’s education course for architects and engineers, “Humidity Happens, Mold Doesn’t Have To,” was developed to promote understanding of the energy, environmental, and health benefits of specifying an in-wall dehumidifier into building projects. The course provides an overview of how to manage moisture and reduce microbial risk in multifamily housing, and the benefits of using supplemental dehumidifiers specifically design-engineered for apartments or multifamily dwellings.
Innovative Dehumidifier is registered with AIA and FBPE in order to qualify for HSW credits. Continuing education is mandated by most states to maintain a professional license to practice architecture and engineering, and for membership renewal. Innovative Dehumidifier is in compliance with guidelines to ensure users who take our free course and earn a passing grade receive corresponding credit toward fulfillment of their annual AIA/CES, ASHRAE, GBCI, HSW, NAHB and USGBC requirements.
“As Innovative Dehumidifier gains momentum as a design option, there is a corresponding demand for high-quality education and insight about managing moisture and microbial risk in multifamily housing,” says Innovative Dehumidifier Product Manager Ron Revia. “We are pleased to present an online continuing education resource to help architects and engineers learn more about how to manage moisture and reduce microbial risk in multifamily housing, and earn required credit in the process.”
