ASSA ABLOY announced that the RM4700B AccenTek pull by Rockwood and the matching Muséo 135 Josef Collection lever by Corbin Russwin have won 2015 GOOD DESIGN Awards from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art, Design and Urban Studies. Founded in 1950, GOOD DESIGN is the world’s oldest and one of the most recognized programs for design excellence worldwide, receiving several thousand submissions from manufacturers and industrial and graphic design firms representing 47 countries across the globe.
“Much of our door hardware is the preferred choice for architects and designers thanks to a distinct combination of durability, functionality and smart design,” says Leslie Saunders, vice president, Marketing, ASSA ABLOY Architectural Hardware Shared Services. “It’s an honor to be recognized again by the GOOD DESIGN Awards for our commitment to world-class design.”
Rockwood’s RM4700B AccenTek pull combines rounded sides and flat edges for a clean, contemporary look. Available in a variety of finishes, the AccenTek Collection features accents of white, black or subtle parting lines. The pulls are made from solid brass and beautifully enhance glass, wood or metal doors.
Designed to complement the square-shaped elegance of the AccenTek line, Corbin Russwin’s Muséo 135 Josef Collection lever flaunts simple, yet dramatic forms. Offered in 14 architectural finishes the Josef Collection is compatible with ADA compliant mortise and tubular locks, access control locks and exit devices.
The RM4700B pull and 135 lever are elements of a collection from The Good Design Studio, which features complimentary hardware from ASSA ABLOY Group brands.
