The Energy Storage Association (ESA) has announced that NEMA Industry Director Steve Griffith will speak at the ESA 27th Annual Conference and Expo on April 18–20, 2017, in Denver. Mr. Griffith will join other experts on the Global Codes and Standards Landscape panel to address how codes and standards are being adapted to cover advanced energy storage systems throughout the electrical system.
Mr. Griffith has more than 17 years experience in program and project management, including a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. He is the industry director for NEMA’s Connected Systems Division and manages product sections in such areas as distribution automation, energy storage, electric metering, electric vehicle supply equipment, and power electronics. He is also the principle NEMA staff liaison for NEMA’s Internet of Things (IoT) activities, in which NEMA leads and defines common approaches to standardization, guidelines, and architecture development while enabling connectivity and interoperability and safeguarding cybersecurity in electro-technical and medical imaging products.
The ESA Annual Conference and Expo is a global energy storage event, offering expanded conversation about storage and the transformation of the power sector. Other 2017 speakers include Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, Renewable Energy Systems CEO Ivor Catto, and NextEra Energy Resources Senior Vice President Michael O’Sullivan.
