Artaic-Innovative Mosaic, designers and fabricators of mosaic tile-work, have relocated to the hub of New England’s Architectural & Design Community, The Boston Design Center.
“We were overjoyed with the amount of support and acknowledgement from our local Architectural & Design (A&D) community, business leaders of Boston and the technology frontrunners that came to celebrate with us,” declares Dr. Ted Acworth, CEO/Founder of Artaic. “We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout.”
“This facility is a statement of the combination of design and entrepreneurism,” states guest Katie Stebbins, assistant secretary of Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. “We work closely with Artaic and are thrilled to see the gains the company continues to make.”
Artaic’s facility includes the following departments: office (sales and design), production and research & development. The firm’s gallery/showroom displays the firm’s computer-driven/robotically-assembled mosaic creations from ceiling to floor in continuous designs.
Artaic’s 6,200-square-foot facility more than doubles the space Artaic previously occupied. “We like to think of it as a combination designer showroom, gallery, research & development lab and manufacturing facility,” Acworth adds.
“Artaic is a company with a future-focused approach to mosaic tile that balances technology and design in the service it provides,” declares Kristan McLaughlin, general manager, Leasing & Partnerships, JAMESTOWN L.P., management firm of The Boston Design Center. “Its approach will be a perfect fit within our design community at The Boston Design Center.”
