Andersen Corp. has announced the acquisition of Fenêtres MQ Inc., a window and door manufacturer headquartered in Sainte-Agathe, Quebec, Canada with manufacturing locations in Canada and Italy. MQ specializes in serving the residential and commercial segments and is known for its work on historic renovations of grand scale.
“The acquisition of MQ expands the Andersen product portfolio, increases our manufacturing capabilities and broadens our geographic reach,” says Jay Lund, Andersen chairman and CEO. “We are pleased that the MQ Founder and President Gilles Morin will continue to lead the business as we grow our presence in North America and Europe. We welcome all MQ employees into the Andersen family and look forward to a future together.”
The MQ brand will complement the Andersen Architectural Collection. The MQ product line includes several product styles, such as contemporary, European, classical, traditional, historic, and rustic. MQ products are crafted of wood, aluminum-clad wood, bronze-clad wood, UPVC, and steel. MQ sells its products in Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean, and Europe.
MQ is a private company founded in 1975. Financial terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.
