The re-engineered and expanded line of Enhance composite decking from Trex Co. Inc. combines the durability of its composite decking with pricing designed to put the pressure on treated lumber.
“We have reimagined and re-engineered our Enhance line to introduce, across both the pro and retail channels, a premium quality, low-maintenance decking option for budget-minded homeowners who may have previously eliminated composite from consideration due to price,” says Adam Zambanini, president of Residential Products at Trex Co. “We look forward to making the Trex brand and product benefits accessible to an even broader audience, while continuing to drive increased demand and conversion from wood.”
Decking for Any Size Dream – and Budget
The Enhance decking collection is part of a good, better, best decking line-up that allows consumers to choose the right product to meet their needs, all backed by 25-Year Limited Residential and Fade & Stain warranties. Differentiating the reimagined Enhance line-up is a scalloped profile that allows for handling and installation ease. This design also contributes to its price. These products will be available in-store at lumberyards and major retailers.
Enhance Basics offers the performance of Trex in three shades, clam shell, beach dune and saddle, featuring realistic grain patterns. Offering the benefits of composite, this collection is ideal for DIYers and wood deck builders.
Enhance Naturals introduces five multi-tonal hues that resemble the streaked looks of natural wood. The shades of foggy wharf, rocky harbor, toasted sand, coastal bluff and sunset cove feature the color variations of wood, without the hassles of ongoing maintenance and upkeep. Just like Enhance Basics, Enhance Naturals won’t rot, warp, crack or splinter, and maintenance is hassle-free. Spills wash off with soap and water. And, unlike wood, Enhance requires no sanding, staining or painting, and its protective shell defends against severe weather and heavy foot traffic.
For owners seeking performance and aesthetics, its flagship Transcend collection is another composite decking option, with 10 shades, including five monochromatic earth tones and five multi-tonal tropical hues. For 2019, Trex has refreshed the Transcend earth tones to be compatible with its tropical offerings, allowing for more design flexibility and customization.
“These product enhancements are ideal examples of our drive to continuously improve upon what’s already considered the best in the composite decking industry, while bringing the easy maintenance of Trex decking to an incremental audience who would otherwise be building with wood,” notes Zambanini.
Railing Kits Make Selection and Installation a Breeze
In addition to expanding its decking portfolio, Trex also has applied its make it easy mantra to what has been a challenging aspects of deck design, choosing the right railing. To help take the confusion out of the railing selection process, the design team at Trex has curated railing pairings for every shade of Trex decking. The company is now offering six of its Transcendâ railing combinations in packaged kits.
“At Trex, we are continuously innovating to make it as easy as possible for contractors and homeowners to create dream outdoor spaces,” Zambanini says. “With these new railing kits, we are, once again, elevating the category by introducing complete packages of easy-to-install components in proven pairings that take the guesswork out of railing selection.”
