For Metal Construction Association members weathering sub-freezing temperatures, the MCA 2019 Winter Meeting will provide a welcome break from the cold and, more importantly, insights into the most important issues facing the industry today.
Twice a year (summer and winter), the members of the MCA gather at venues to share new information, address challenges, hold elections and awards ceremonies, and maximize networking opportunities. The Winter Meeting this year will take place at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla., on Jan. 14-16.
Topics will include metal roofing; wall panels; insulated metal panels (IMPs) retrofitting; metal composite materials (MCMs); manufacturing; roll forming; accessories; codes and standards; market development; membership growth; research; technical considerations; and educational programming.
The schedule will allow for a few breaks for fishing, golf, or relaxing by the pool and soaking up the warm Florida sun.
“In light of aesthetic, economic, and environmental concerns, our industry is playing a bigger role in all areas of construction,” says Karl Hielscher, MCA executive director. “It’s highly beneficial to have our committed council, committee and other MCM members physically in one place, working together to move things forward.”
